The shell of this snail is made up of two blocks which can be taken apart and put back together again. Each of these animals is handmade in Europe, oiled in the traditional way with linseed oil and handpainted. When we receive them, we have to let them 'breathe' for a few weeks so that the oil and wood can 'settle'. We love the fact that we have to do this. It makes them feel really special- and they truly are.
